I'll Believe in Anything

I was online this morning and I came upon a Mark Twain quote:

"Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated."

It made me laugh out loud. Maybe I'm just dumb, but I never realized that when Brian said that he was quoting. (It's the episode after Justin leaves him for Ethan; the guys are talking about him and he walks into the diner.) It gave me a new appreciation for that line and the whole scene. Don't you love when that happens?

Of course if everyone else who watched that episode realized it right away, then I hang my head in shame.

So, another school year has finished. I sent the rugrats home with all their things yesterday and packed the classroom up today. Tomorrow I leave to go on a cruise to New Brunswick (the destination was not my choice, believe me...I would have gone somewhere warm.) I have to leave Ellie for 5 days, which makes me very sad. I know my mom will take good care of her though, and she'll have fun playing with the other dogs. After that, I have two whole months of freedom!

Ellie is getting HUGE! I took her for some shots this week and she had doubled in weight. She is still only 4 pounds, but it seems big to me. She can get up and down the steps and jump up and down off the sofa. Now if I could only get her to stop chewing on my stuff....

Ellie is a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie mix). She is the sweetest baby. It is sooo hard to leave her when I have to go to work. I brought her home Saturday and I'm already in love.

So I should be writing lesson plans right now..they are due tomorrow and I have yet to start them. But instead I am randomly creating a Livejournal. Do I know anyone on LJ...um, no. It's amazing the things your mind will come up with to occupy your time when you have more pressing, but less desirable things to do.
